Offline
GPXTools also works without connection, for example in the mountains.
What always works
- After the first visit, the editor opens without connection, with the files you had open.
- Map areas you have already seen are stored and shown again without network.
- The data of the projects you opened while online can be consulted.
Preparing a project
In the General tab of a project, press Prepare for offline use before leaving. This downloads to the device:
- The routes and every tab: stages, budget, checklists, documents and journal.
- Attached documents and journal photos.
- The map of the area of the routes, with your current basemap and layers, from zoom 8 to 15.
It can take a few minutes. When it finishes, the date of the last copy is shown; repeat it if the project changes.
Offline you can see everything, but you cannot save changes to projects or use the tools that need internet: route calculation, weather and points of interest.
On a phone, add GPXTools to the home screen from the browser menu to open it like an app.
