GPXTools prepares an image of the route with the map, the distance, the elevation gain, the maximum altitude and the elevation profile. Move or zoom the map and press the refresh icon to update it. You can edit the message that goes with it.

• Share… (phone and tablet): opens your device’s share menu with the image and the GPX file, to send them by WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, email or any other app.
• WhatsApp, Telegram, X, Facebook, Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn and Reddit: open the network with the message ready. On a computer, the image is copied to the clipboard: paste it into the post with Ctrl+V.
• Email: opens your email with the message. On a computer, the GPX and the image are downloaded so you can attach them.
• Instagram: has no web publishing, so use Share… on your phone; on a computer the image is downloaded.

Garmin Connect, Wikiloc and Komoot

These platforms offer no public API to upload routes. Each button downloads the GPX and opens their import page:

• Garmin Connect: Courses for planned routes (you can then send them to your watch or GPS), or Import activity for recorded tracks.
• Wikiloc: upload the trail from your account.
• Komoot: import the GPX to create a route.
